VR Viewing
🥽Viewing in a VR Headset
For the most immersive experience, you can watch Bulletin Berlin’s 360º videos directly inside a VR headset. It’s like stepping onto the set yourself.
🧠A. Using a Smartphone + Mobile VR Headset (e.g. Google Cardboard, basic VR viewers)
1. 📱 Open the YouTube app on your phone.
2. ▶️ Play the 360º video you want to watch.
3. Tap the VR icon (a small headset symbol) in the lower right corner of the player.
4. The screen will split into two images (stereo mode).
5. Insert your phone into your VR headset and secure it.
6. Look around by moving your head — the view will follow naturally.
👉 Tip: Rotate your phone horizontally before tapping the VR icon for a better fit.
🧠B. Using a Standalone VR Headset (e.g. Meta Quest / Quest 2 / Pico / HTC Vive Focus)
1. 🧠Open the YouTube VR app from your headset’s app store (free).
2. Sign in with your Google account if required.
3. Use the search function inside YouTube VR to find “Bulletin Berlin” or paste the video URL.
4. Select the video and press play — it will automatically launch in 360º VR mode.
5. Look around naturally — the headset’s built-in sensors will track your movement.
👉 Tip: For the sharpest image, choose 4K quality or higher in the video settings if available.
🧠C. Using PC VR Headsets (e.g. Oculus Rift, HTC Vive, Valve Index)
There are two common ways to view:
Option 1 – YouTube in Desktop VR Mode
1. Open YouTube in a browser on your PC (Chrome or Firefox recommended).
2. Play the 360Âş video.
3. Enter fullscreen and then enable VR mode via your headset software (e.g. SteamVR’s Desktop Theatre Mode).
4. Use your headset to look around; mouse and keyboard can still control zoom and pan.
Option 2 – Dedicated VR Player
1. Download the 360Âş video if you have access to the source file.
2. Open it using a dedicated VR media player (e.g. DeoVR, Virtual Desktop, Whirligig).
3. Set the projection to equirectangular 360.
4. Enjoy full navigation, zoom, and headset tracking.
👉 Tip: PC VR usually gives the highest resolution and smoothest experience, especially for 4K+ content.
âš™ Pro VR Tips
• Ensure a stable Wi-Fi connection for streaming 4K/8K without lag.
• Use headphones or the headset’s spatial audio for maximum immersion.
• Keep the headset lenses clean for a sharper picture.
• Dim the lights — a dark room enhances immersion.
