Christoph Eichhorn- Moderator

Christoph Eichhorn, born in Kassel in 1957, grew up in the world of theatre. His father, Werner Eichhorn, was an actor at the Schauspielhaus Bochum under the legendary Peter Zadek, where Christoph took his first professional steps in 1973. After appearing in The ‘Tenderness of Wolves,’ directed by Ulli Lommel and produced by Fassbinder, he worked in theatre with Werner Schroeter, Rosa von Praunheim and Zadek before achieving prominence as Hans Castorp in Geissendörfer’s ‘The Magic Mountain’ (1982). International film work followed with directors including Krzysztof Zanussi, Masahiro Shinoda and Danny Huston. Eichhorn made his directing debut in 1987 with ‘Beyond Blue’ and, after leaving acting in 2000, established himself as a director of television series. He lives between Berlin, Lisbon and Sri Lanka.

Marion Kracht

Marion Kracht is a German actress, director, voice artist and author. She gained recognition at 14 as Tony Buddenbrook in the TV adaptation of The Buddenbrooks. She has played over 100 roles in television, stage, and film. Kracht has long been socially active, supporting Plan International, Berliner Tafel, Greenpeace, BUND, Deutsche Umwelthilfe.

Leslie Malton

Leslie Malton is a bilingual award winning German-English actress. She gained fame with her role as Ophelia in “Hamlet” at Vienna’s Burgtheater and later starred in Dieter Wedel’s “Der große Bellheim,” Malton has appeared in various films and TV series, including “Tatort,” “Counterpart,” and “Goldjungs. She is an ambassador for children with Rett syndrome in Germany (www.rett.de) and chairwoman of the Bundesverband Schauspiel (BFFS).

Ute Willing

Ute Willing is an award-winning German actress and director. She debuted in 1975’s Verbrechen nach Schulschluß. Notable TV roles include ‘Sesame Street,’ ‘Derrick und Der Alte.’ As a director, she’s worked with top theatres like Ernst Deutsch and Komödie am Kurfürstendamm, where she directed ‘And God Said: We Need to Talk!’
